Grafana is the visualization layer of the observability world: it queries Prometheus, Loki, InfluxDB, SQL databases and dozens of other sources and turns them into dashboards, alerts and shareable panels.

It draws nothing by itself — you bring the data sources — and the ecosystem is deep enough that the first week is mostly discovering what is possible. The OSS edition is fully capable for self-hosters.
