Zigbee2MQTT talks to Zigbee bulbs, sensors and switches through a single USB coordinator and publishes everything to MQTT — replacing the pile of vendor hubs (Hue, IKEA, Aqara) with one open bridge. Its supported-device database is enormous and community-maintained.
Zigbee network health has its own folklore: coordinator placement, channel selection and USB extension cables matter more than you would expect. The built-in web frontend makes pairing and network maps pleasantly visual.
