Windmill

Windmill takes the scripts you already write — Python, TypeScript, Go, Bash, SQL — and gives them schedules, webhook triggers, auto-generated UIs, approval steps and composition into flows. It is developer-first automation rather than no-code.

It is a substantial platform (Postgres-backed, with workers to run jobs), so it earns its keep once you have a real collection of operational scripts rather than one cron job. Performance is a stated obsession of the project.

For teams whose "automation" is currently a folder of scripts and a prayer, Windmill is the upgrade path.
